SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Imagine electric cars that charge faster, go farther, and cost less to build. That’s the promise behind Nissan’s partnership with LiCAP Technologies, announced today. Together, the companies are working to make all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) a practical reality.

The collaboration builds on LiCAP’s unique Activated Dry Electrode® process, which avoids harmful solvents, making battery production cleaner and more efficient. With 82 agents across 31 countries and Nissan’s global reach, this partnership is designed to speed up large-scale production.

“Working alongside Nissan allows us to bring our technology into real-world EV platforms,” said LiCAP CEO Dr. Linda Zhong.

This milestone supports Nissan’s Ambition 2030 vision—delivering the next generation of high-performance, eco-friendly electric vehicles.
