Qatar has taken an active role in enhancing regional cooperation on electricity and water security by participating in the 31st ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee. Held in Manama, Bahrain, the meeting witnessed active discussions on key issues such as regional electricity interconnectivity, water security, and the rising demand for energy.

Leading Qatar’s delegation was Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, who engaged with representatives from other GCC member states. The gathering served as a platform to review the progress made since the previous session and to emphasize the need for greater coordination among the member countries. This collaboration aims to tackle pressing regional challenges and strengthen the collective approach in the energy and water sectors.
