Qatar and Thailand are venturing into new avenues to bolster their trade and investment relations, following a significant meeting between business leaders in Bangkok. This strategic dialogue featured Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohammed bin Twar Al Kuwari alongside prominent figures from the Board of Trade of Thailand, such as Songsang Patavanich and Jarudol Tulayakijja.

During the discussions, both parties delved into strategies to elevate trade and investment cooperation. They also explored the pivotal role business organizations play in fostering partnerships, facilitating business interactions, and promoting joint ventures between companies from the two nations. Al Kuwari underscored the robust economic ties between Qatar and Thailand, pointing out that their bilateral trade is projected to reach approximately QR12.4 billion by 2025. He stressed the vital contribution of private-sector collaboration in propelling future growth through strategic partnerships and investment initiatives targeting promising sectors.

The meeting also highlighted the essential role of chambers of commerce in linking businesses, sharing market insights, and identifying new investment opportunities that can sustain long-term economic cooperation. This engagement is seen as a crucial step in deepening the economic relationship between the two countries.

Thai officials reiterated their dedication to fortifying economic links with Qatar and expressed eagerness to work closely with the Qatar Chamber.
