A Qatar-Germany investment roundtable took place in Berlin, organized by Qatar Chamber, with the aim of enhancing trade, investment, and private-sector collaboration between Qatar and Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. The event gathered significant figures from the Qatari business community, government sectors, and German companies, as well as economic organizations, to discuss potential partnerships and bolster bilateral economic ties.
Leading the Qatari delegation was Sheikha Tamader Al Thani, while German officials and business leaders from North Rhine-Westphalia engaged in conversations focused on expanding cooperation in crucial areas. Key sectors discussed included advanced manufacturing, logistics, energy, sustainability, digital transformation, and technology. A major point of discussion was how to increase investment flows and strengthen collaboration between businesses in both nations.
During the roundtable, representatives from various investment and business institutions highlighted Qatar’s favorable investment climate, robust financial services sector, and logistics strengths, underscoring the country’s strategic position as a regional hub for business and trade. This presentation aimed to attract further interest and investment from German businesses by showcasing the opportunities available in Qatar.
The event also featured visits by the Qatari delegation to prominent facilities of SAP and Siemens Energy. Here, participants were given the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies and industrial innovations, which could serve as a foundation for future cooperation and development projects between the two regions.
Qatar Chamber emphasized that this initiative is part of a larger strategy to expand international partnerships, draw in investment, and create new avenues for cooperation that would benefit both Qatar and Germany. By facilitating such high-level exchanges and discussions, the chamber aims to foster a mutually advantageous economic relationship that supports growth and progress in both regions.
