PM Talks Tech Innovations in Regional Security with Pakistani, Saudi, Egyptian Leaders

On Monday, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani engaged in significant diplomatic conversations with leaders from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing regional tensions. In a call with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, they discussed ways to bolster their countries’ ties and the ongoing mediation efforts by Pakistan aimed at reducing tensions and fostering stability in the region.

The Qatari Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s role in mediating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, highlighting Qatar’s full support for peaceful resolution efforts. He emphasized the importance of all involved parties participating in these diplomatic efforts to create a conducive environment for negotiations and achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace agreement in the region.

Sheikh Mohammed also conversed with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, where they examined their nations’ relations and regional developments, particularly the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The Prime Minister reiterated Qatar’s condemnation of recent drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with Saudi measures to ensure national security and the protection of its citizens.

The discussions underscored the necessity for all parties to engage with ongoing mediation initiatives to address the fundamental issues of the crisis through dialogue, aiming for a lasting agreement that prevents further escalation. This dialogue aligns with Qatar’s commitment to supporting regional stability and security.

In a separate exchange, Sheikh Mohammed spoke with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The two leaders explored ways to strengthen their bilateral relationship while also deliberating on the regional situation, particularly the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. They echoed the call for positive engagement with mediation efforts to ensure peace and stability through peaceful means and dialogue, thereby preventing any renewal of hostilities.
